A Method Rooted in Structure & Poise

We treat digital creation not as a manufacturing assembly line, but as the meticulous composition of a fresco. Each phase of plaster setting, pigment application, and outline etching is crucial to ensure longevity.

01
Setting the boundaries of the canvas

Inquiry & Spatial Analysis

Before sketching a single line, we inspect the content. We look at your project archives, historical files, copy documents, and photography. We align on your brand's core architecture: what elements must stand out, who is entering your digital villa, and what feelings must linger after they exit.

02
Forming the color and typographic blueprint

Artistic Direction & Pigments

We generate a tailored artistic blueprint. Inspired by Roman classical geometry and mineral wall paintings, we establish a tight color scale and a typographic hierarchy. We pair serif display titles with humanist italic text, selecting fonts that feel less like screen layouts and more like stone inscriptions.

03
Etching the layout blueprint

Grid Composition

We construct the skeleton. Adopting Renaissance asymmetrical column arrangements, we balance interactive spaces with generous white margins ('plaster silence'). We frame images inside double thin borders, simulating museum mount plates, ensuring they sit harmoniously within the grid system.

04
Breathing life into the fresco panels

Motion Refinement

Using the Motion library, we program scroll timelines and overlay scene reveals. We establish a soft overhead lighting angle, mapping drop shadow scaling and opacity shifts. We configure persistent floating motifs (halos, arches, laurels) to glide slowly between sections, guiding visitors through the pages.

05
Drying the lime plaster for permanence

Atelier Review & Launch

A fresco is painted in wet plaster; once dried, it becomes part of the wall. In the final phase, we optimize all assets, render images into optimized WebP formats, ensure strict compliance with keyboard focus rules, run test builds, and deploy your site to static CDNs for maximum performance and stability.

Tactile Context

Atmospheric Materials

Our digital layout systems translate tactile physical qualities—aged textures, shadows, and mineral pigments—directly to the screen.

Lime plaster textures of Rome

Lime Plaster (Intonaco)

The wet plaster is the recipient of pigment. It dries slowly, reacting with carbon dioxide in the air to chemically lock mineral pigments into the structure forever. We replicate this permanence digitally via non-volatile Content Collections.

Geometric Carrara Marble columns

Carrara Marble (Marmo)

Sculptural purity and mathematical ratio. Every border margin, column gutter, and keyline in Aurelio is calibrated using classic modular spatial proportions.

Ancient weathered Roman stone walls

Roman Travertine (Stone)

The weathered texture of time. The plaster grain filter and mineral pigments used throughout the site ensure visual memory, rejecting flat, sterile interfaces.
